Road safety is a priority set by almost all countries as its achievement is related to positive effects at a social, economic and environmental level. Road safety is related to the safe driving of vehicles (wheeled and non-wheeled), the safe transport of goods by vehicles, and the safe movement of pedestrians. Therefore, the main indicator to measure the degree of road safety is the number of traffic accidents and the severity of them, which is reflected in the affected people.
In order to reduce traffic accidents, each state has established a set of road safety rules that are usually included in the Traffic Code. However, the importance of road safety is so great for humanity that concerted efforts are being made to reduce road accidents at global, European and national level.
